Class Description

As nonfiction writers, we get used to writing from our real lives. Things we've done, people we've met, places we've visited, clothes we've worn. But sometimes, that just gets boring. Sometimes we want to imagine ourselves into a new world.

In this generative workshop, we will blur the line between fiction and nonfiction, leaning on Nick Flynn's Bewilderment method of imagining ourselves into photographs of places we have never been, with people we have never met, in outfits brand new. If you're a nonfiction writer who wants to dip their toe into fiction, while still keeping one foot firmly planted in your lived reality -- this class is the place to do just that.

Class Format

This class will take place using Zoom videoconferencing. About 15 minutes before your class is scheduled to begin, you'll receive an email from your instructor with a link to join the class meeting!
