Class Description
If you’ve been taking classes in the memoir series you likely understand the need for a strong beginning, a strong narrator, and the sorts of detail that your make places and characters come alive. But you also know that while your memoir will require vivid, engrossing scenes there are stretches of your life that will need to be summarized, as they are not important enough for scenes but are necessary so as not to confuse the reader. How do you achieve the right balance between scene and summary? How can you recognize which events should be delivered which way? Please bring a print out of 5-10 pages of draft. These pages need not be polished. Come prepared, to read, write, and rework!
