Class Description
These free creative writing workshops are for busy people who are hungry to write stories, poetry, or memoir. Each class deals with a different theme. You’ll have about an hour to do fun writing exercises, read and discuss the work of other writers for inspiration, share your work if you want feedback, and ask your writer-instructor about writing, publishing, craft, and more. For writers at any level of experience writing in any language! Families are welcome and snacks are provided.
This class takes place at the Boston Public Library's Mattapan branch,1350 Blue Hill Avenue, Mattapan, MA 02126. If you have any difficulty signing up online, please call 617-695-0075.

Thanks to the excellent literary citizenship of our donors, scholarships are available for all GrubStreet classes. To apply, click the gray "APPLY FOR SCHOLARSHIP" button. In order to be considered for a scholarship, you must complete your application at least one week before the start date of a class. Please await our scholarship committee's decision before registering for the class. We cannot hold spots in classes, so the sooner you apply, the better. Scholarships cannot be applied retroactively.
