Class Description
After surviving a loss, the story of who you are changes. Dealing with grief on your own can be isolating. Writing about loss, death, sadness, and grief can be liberating and remind you that you are not alone.
In this personal essay class, you will read other writers and their essays on the subject of loss, including Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Diane Zinna and Hua Hsu. You'll write the beginnings of essays using creative writing techniques. By the end of the class, you will have generated two essay drafts and the insight and inspiration to continue developing your essays.
Class Format
This class will take place in-person at our Center for Creative Writing in Boston's Seaport neighborhood.
