Event Description

GrubStreet’s Teaching Fellowship for Black Writers provides financial and professional development support to two self-identified Black writers interested in teaching classes, participating in events, and working with our instructors and staff to deepen our curriculum. The fellowship includes compensation of $25,000 and several resources to support you as you develop your craft. Learn more.

Info Session

Join us on Monday, May 15th from 6:00-7:00 p.m. for an info session and Q&A on our Black Writers Teaching Fellowship! Program staff and alumni of the program will answer questions and discuss their respective Teaching Fellowship experience. We will share information about the application process, resources included in the Fellowship, requirements and expectations, and anything else that’s on your mind.

This event will take place using Zoom videoconferencing. About 15 minutes before this event is scheduled to begin, you'll receive an email with a link to join the Zoom meeting!

Zoom Participation:

Students are not required to turn their camera on, but are encouraged to participate any way they feel comfortable through functions such as the live chat, emoji reactions, and unmuting the microphone. Learn more about using Zoom here.

Zoom Accessibility:

We ask that instructors enable closed captioning and send a transcript of the session after class. You can also enable closed captioning at any time during the meeting. If your instructor forgets to send the transcript, just send ’em an email!
