About Laniesha

Laniesha Brown (She/Her/Hers) is a queer poet and film photographer. She’s currently also the museum engagement and events coordinator at Stanford University’s Anderson Collection. She holds an M.F.A in Poetry and an M.A. in English Literature from McNeese State University. Her work has appeared or is forthcoming in Gasher, The Caribbean Writer, The Hunger, the minnesota review and more. She has also been recently featured as a 2021 Boston Poet of the Day by the Mayor's Office of Arts and Culture. When she's not writing, she enjoys playing fetch with her cats and eating fried plantains
