Class Description
Are you horrified at the thought of condensing a manuscript that maybe took years to complete into a one-page attention-getting query that will snare an agent’s attention on first glance? Do you lose sleep wondering how you can make a quick but important impression at Muse & the Marketplace?
If so, this three-hour overview is for you. Sorche Fairbank of Fairbank Literary Representation will walk you through a query and pitch framework you can use and adapt for Muse and beyond. The session will cover the in-person pitch and the Manuscript Mart synopsis as well.
Bring your one page query or book project description, as some student work may be read in class as an example.
Thanks to the excellent literary citizenship of our donors, scholarships are available for all GrubStreet classes. To apply, click the gray "APPLY FOR SCHOLARSHIP" button. In order to be considered for a scholarship, you must complete your application at least one week before the start date of a class. Please await our scholarship committee's decision before registering for the class. We cannot hold spots in classes, so the sooner you apply, the better. Scholarships cannot be applied retroactively.
