Class Description
Has anyone ever told you that you that you should write down your stories? Maybe you have a memoir you’d like to write but you can’t seem to figure out how to start. Perhaps you don’t consider yourself to be a writer, but you love to write or enjoy journaling. If you are ready to make the leap from idea to project, then this class is for you!
By the end of this our class you will have a full picture of what you want to write and a plan in place to make sure that you stick to your project. We will work through memory exercises and learn how to mine what you hold inside out on the the page. We will read examples of prose that will help us learn how other authors handle personal narrative, and we will do a workshop where we learn from each other.
Often, writing the self can be tricky and at times triggering. We hold a safe space for all of us to share openly and get the most out of this writing experience. Clear your day, bring paper or your laptop and get ready to transform your ideas into a writing project. I will give you some reading to do before we meet for our class.
