Class Description
Literary agent (and veteran of 12+ years of Manuscript Mart) Sorche Elizabeth Fairbank is offering a free pre-Muse session for up to 75 people registered for Manuscript Mart. In the three hour session, Sorche will walk attendees through last minute guidance on the twenty- page submissions, what to expect at Manuscript Mart and the greater Muse conference, how to get the most of your 20 minutes with an agent or editor at the Mart, and how to follow-up and make the most of your critique and agent/editor connections after the conference. Sorche will answer questions, and as time allows, help attendees rehearse and improve short pitches to use throughout Muse ’18 weekend and beyond.
Three times are offered, maximum 25 attendees each. Sign-up for the sessions are first come, first serve. If a particular time is sold out, you will be added to a waiting list.
Thanks to the excellent literary citizenship of our donors, scholarships are available for all GrubStreet classes. To apply, click the gray "APPLY FOR SCHOLARSHIP" button. In order to be considered for a scholarship, you must complete your application at least one week before the start date of a class. Please await our scholarship committee's decision before registering for the class. We cannot hold spots in classes, so the sooner you apply, the better. Scholarships cannot be applied retroactively.
