Class Description
This workshop is for advanced poets who are ready to engage in more rigorous examination and revision of their own poetry. Each member of the group will develop and polish ten poems for an ongoing manuscript or for magazine publication. We will also discuss the journal submission process and host a discussion with an accomplished poet on how to conceive and craft a manuscript. Poets studied may include:

- Mahmoud Darwish
- Kay Ryan
- Russell Edson
- Frank Bidart
- Claribel Alegria
- Matthea Harvey
This class is by submission only and previous workshop experience is essential. Space is limited to nine poets.

The application deadline for this class is May 18th at 11:59pm. Applicants can expect to learn of decisions via email 1-2 weeks after the deadline.

This class will take place using Zoom videoconferencing. About 15 minutes before your class is scheduled to begin, you'll receive an email from your instructor with a link to join the class meeting!
Zoom Participation:
Students are not required to turn their camera on, but are encouraged to participate any way they feel comfortable through functions such as the live chat, emoji reactions, and unmuting the microphone. Learn more about using Zoom here.

We ask that instructors enable closed captioning and send a transcript of the session after class. You can also enable closed captioning at any time during the meeting. If your instructor forgets to send the transcript, just send ’em an email!
