Class Description
Generate four new essays in 6 hours, and workshop one! This will be an intensely generative class. Prompts will be give every half hour to begin new pieces for the first two hours. Then you'll spend one hour rewriting the piece that feels most exciting to you. Finally, we'll spend the last part of the class reading drafts aloud and getting feedback, so you can plan future steps for the work. You will be well supported with writing prompts and a focused environment meant to generate new work, and also receive feedback to further develop drafts, not only from fellow draft crafting studio mates, but with an instructor consult if you would like to give up one of your free-write sessions for a 15-minute one-on-one conversation with the instructor.
